How to Look After Your Accessories
Leather Accessories
- All leather products are hand wash only.
- Fabric sections can be washed with detergent or washing up liquid and rinsed clean.
- Leather can be wiped with a damp cloth - feel free to use saddle soap occoasionally.
- Leather may benefit from some leather conditioner from time to time if it feels dry (every few months).
- If your leather products are wet, either keep them on your dog for natural drying or hang away from direct heat to prevent the leather drying out.
- Sea water will accelerate the ageing of the leather and I recommend to avoid it to prolong the life of your accessories. If your leather accessories do go for a sea dip - rinse with clean water and allow to air dry naturally.
Biothane Accessories
- All Biothane/fabric accessories can be easily rinsed clean or machine washed (30 degrees celcius)
- Hang to air dry naturally.
- Do not store Biothane products in direct sunlight as this can cause colour fade.
- Hardware can cause staining on Biothane where the collar closes and rubs against brass. This can be reduced with regular cleaning but is not completely avoidable on the lighter Biothane colours.
